Calder Vale Children's festival is a traditional village festival, which is held on the second Saturday in June every year. It is a fun, family day....to which anyone is welcome. Organised by many local people, who give their time voluntarily & who spend hours making costumes for the local children. As well as the parade & crowning of a new village queen, there is music from Pilling Jubilee Band, Morris dancing displays from Garstang Morris Dancers, hot dogs, fresh fruit, lucky dips, coconut shy, tombola, duck race, traditional races for children of all ages & a fancy dress competition.
